Formation of Stitch & Pike
Hello! If you’ve made it to this page thanks for checking out my work!
A little bit about me and my work! I grew up adventuring all along the west coast, living in the Sierras of Nevada, to camping along the Norther California coast, and taking trips to the PNW often! I ended up in living in Seattle during my formative years and my passion for the great outdoors only continued to expand. I have a deep passion for protecting our lands and the life living in the areas I hold dearly.
Beyond exploring the great outdoors, I have more hobbies than time and figured it’s time to share my passions with others! And so I created Stitch & Pike!
A few things I love:
-Stick & Poke Tattoos
-Sewing & Mending
-Anything and everything outdoor related ( Skiing, Snowboarding, Crabbing off of my paddle board in the Puget Sound, Backpacking to lakes that remind me of Lake Tahoe, and so much more!)
- Cooking , and dinnerware that elevate a meal
-Community built around these experiences
All of what is listed above sparks joy and I am a firm believer that The Lord is my joy, and my strength.
Julia Cameron, author of “ The Artist’s Way” wrote “Art is an act of faith, we are practicing it. Sometimes we are called on pilgrimages on its behalf and, like many pilgrims we doubt the call even as we answer it. But answer we do.”
Which brings me to Stitch & Pike located in Bend, Oregon! A business focused on pottery, ceramics, and some hand made clothing and home goods. In time I’d love to share my testimony but my for now my work will speak of itself!
Follow me along this journey of joy and practicing my faith through these bodies of work and my hope is they spark the same in you.
With Love,
Rachel
